Library staff will give a presentation on how to get started using Ancestry.com Library Edition, Heritagehub and HeritageQuest along with other online tools.
The DC Public Library in cordination with DC Parks and Recreation will open the door to your past with free access to Ancestry.com Library Edition, HeritageHub and HeritageQuest. This April, Bellevue Neighborhood Library staff will teach you to explore these powerful digital tools. After the orientation, you can set up a one on one appointment with staff to further explore your own families story. Search thousands of databases, including birth, death, immigration and military service records, U.S. census records up to 1950 and records from historical sources such as the U.S. Freedman's Bank and 19th-century federal mortality schedules, Obituaries and Graves sites just to name a few.
Individual appointments (after the presentation) will be available at Bellevue Library on Wednesday's between 9 am and 7 pm and Sunday's between 1 pm and 4 pm. Call the Bellevue Library at 202 243-1184 and give us your phone number and email address. Library staff will contact you to arrange a time to visit. To set up a individual appointment, you must attend one of the group presentations.

The Bald Eagle Recreation Center is a recreation facility in the Ward 8 corridor. The center is equipped with specialized program areas such as a boxing gym, a fitness center, computer lab, large multi-purpose room, classroom, and indoor gymnasium.
Programs are facilitated by site staff and committed community volunteers.
