The DC Public Library invites you to become an award-winning author by competing in their Haiku Contest this April!
Between April 1-30, write a haiku about one of the following themes:
✎ Dreams,
✎ Library Love
✎ Best Things in Life
✎ Only in DC
✎ Freedom and Diversity Make us Great!
Contest runs April 1-30 in honor of National Poetry Month. Prize-winners will take home library swag and have their poem posted in the library in May.
Children’s (6-12), teen (13-19) and adult winners will be selected. Winners will receive library swag, a certificate, and have their poem on display at the library!
You can submit your entries on-line here or in-person by filling out our haiku contest form!
