This gentle yoga class is designed for older adults who prefer a slower-paced practice. All levels are welcome. This class is intended for DC Residents age 60 plus.
Bara Vaida is a RYT-500 certified yoga teacher, who focuses on functional movement, strength and the healing aspects of yoga. She found yoga 25 years ago as part of a fitness routine and fell in love with the way the practice heals the mind and body. Her mission is to empower students to find their own path to health and well-being. Outside of yoga, she is a DC resident and freelance journalist, focusing on health care policy and enjoys spending time with her family and dogs.
Students will experience a gradual progression of yoga poses to strengthen and stretch the body and breathing practices to calm the mind. Please bring your own yoga mat. A towel is recommended as padding for knees.
One-time participant registration is required.
Participate in the exercise programs at your own risk and remember to consult with your doctor before starting a new fitness program.
