Come read with us!
This month we'll be discussing the Lambda Literary award-winning YA novel, The Lesbiana's Guide to Catholic School by Sonora Reyes. Sixteen-year-old Yami Flores has a lot to deal with. Recently outed by Bianca (her ex-bestie and unrequited love), she's transferred to a new school in order to remain closeted and keep an eye on her younger, troubled brother Caesar. The transition isn't going as smoothly as planned; on top of heartbreak, Yami faces racism, homophobia, and mental health stigma as a queer Mexican-American teen. But then she meets Bo, the only out lesbian at Slayton Catholic...will this friendship change everything?
