The World Music Collective will perform a concert of musical works that combine elements of jazz and folk traditions from around the world.
Enjoy an afternoon of beautiful music featuring the World Music Collective performing works that combine elements of jazz and folk music traditions from around the globe. The World Music Collective includes internationally recognized performers, composers, and improvisers from the DC metropolitan area that have collaborated on musical projects over the last ten years. Representing the broad diversity of Washington, DC, the ensemble draws on rich musical traditions from around the world that have improvisation as a common thread. This innovative ensemble includes Indian classical flute, saxophone, accordion, guitar (in a flamenco and Latin American style), jazz bass, and percussion.
This event takes place in person in the library's brand new auditorium. Please note that masks are required for all attendees.
