Enjoy an immersive art experience celebrating the diverse voices and communal spirit of the District and join us in honoring Police Chief Pamela Smith for her dedication to our community.
Made possible by Mayor Muriel Bowser and the Office of the Chief Technology Officer's (OCTO) Innovation Team, Gratitude Powers DC captures the collective spirit of gratitude among DC residents and showcases stories of appreciation and community resilience with an art installation and series of events. Collected in the recent Gratitude Powers DC survey, this event highlights the heartfelt expressions of appreciation from residents regarding MPD's dedication and positive impact in their neighborhoods. Deputy Mayor for Public Safety and Justice Lindsey Appiah will be joining the celebration in recognition of the community's appreciation.
Gratitude Powers DC is a multimedia exploration of thankfulness and community appreciation, designed to foster both individual reflection and collective connection. This event will take place in the Large Meeting Room of the West End Neighborhood Library.
