January 28, 2022 marks 100 years since the the tragic collapse of the Knickerbocker Theatre in Adams Morgan.
Come learn about the historic snowstorm and building disaster and remember the lives of 98 lives lost. A memorial display will be up in the lobby of the Mt. Pleasant Library for neighbors to engage with. See newspaper headlines from 1922, read through copies of a commemorative booklet that came out after the disaster, and see a map of where many of 98 victims who were lost to the Knickerbocker Theatre roof collapse lived in Adams Morgan and Mt. Pleasant.
