This will be an in-person and virtual discussion of Leslye Penelope's new book Daughter of the Merciful Deep
Join us at the Watha T. Daniel/Shaw Neighborhood Library for an author discussion with Leslye Penelope (L. Penelope). We will be discussing her new book Daughter of the Merciful Deep.
Jane, who hasn't spoken since her family was expelled from their hometown, is determined to save her new home, Awenasa. When a mysterious man arrives with strange abilities and knowledge, Jane suspects he holds the key to their salvation, even though she remembers him as deceased. As she delves into a submerged world of gods and myths to uncover the truth, Jane must confront her past trauma and find her voice to save her community before the rising floodwaters consume everything.
