Enter Fall with a sustainably refreshed wardrobe! Bring at least 1 item of clothing, shoes, and/or accessories in good condition, take as much as you desire. Drop off starts at 11am.
Join us at Northeast Library for a Clothing swap where you can exchange your pre-loved pieces for new-to-you treasures. Whether you're looking to declutter or find some unique pieces, this event is perfect for all ages and styles.
A Clothing Swap is where participants gather together to exchange pre-loved clothes and accessories. Each person brings in their gently worn or new items that they no longer want, then the items are laid out and everyone digs for treasure! This swap will accept any size of clothing and shoes/accessories, youth and adult, in good condition (no obvious stains or tears).
The swap aims to provide everyone with the opportunity to declutter and refresh their wardrobe in a sustainable and budget-friendly way.
Drop-off begins at 11 a.m. in the lower level. (This is the time when you can drop off your items for sorting and organizing so that you can swap hassle-free).
Attendees who wish to participate can contribute up to 15 items per person. (You must bring in at least one item in order to leave with items.)
Please be mindful to only contribute items that are in gently-used, or new, clean wearable condition. Stained, dirty, torn, or otherwise damaged items will NOT be accepted.
Acceptable Items Include: clothes, shoes, belts, scarves, gloves, handbags/purses, sunglasses/non-prescription glasses, jewelry, headbands, watches, brooches, buttons, pins, tie clips, ties, bow ties, key chains.
Unacceptable Items Include: large/heavy coats, toys, undergarments, lingerie, socks, sleepwear, hangers, swimsuits, swim accessories, fabric hair accessories, piercing jewelry.
All unclaimed items will be donated to Sasha Bruce Youthwork, an organization aiming to enhance the lives of runaway, homeless, abused, and neglected youth along with their families in the Washington, DC area.
*Please Note: Items are subjected to disposal if items do not align with the guidelines of this event. (Before items are discarded owners will have the option to retrieve them.)
