Explore archaeology through games, puzzles, crafts, and teamwork!
Students will work together to map out an indoor version of a sunken shipwreck off the coast of Maryland and Virginia while solving the mystery of what happened to the ship. 2:00-2:30 will be a short introduction to archaeology for students who have not participated in Young Archaeologists' Club before. If students have attended previous programs, they can arrive at 2:30.
Young Archaeologists' Club is a free, hands-on educational opportunity instructed by professional archaeologists and educators. Activities are designed for ages 8-14. Younger students may attend when accompanied by an adult. Registration for all participants is required. Archaeology in the Community is a DC nonprofit dedicated to connecting all learners to heritage and archaeological science. For any questions, please contact beth@archaeologyincommunity.com.
