As a kickoff to DC Public Library's kickoff to Banned Books Week, we explore the impact of banned books and cancel culture on the development and exchange of ideas.
We examine how banned books and cancel culture can silence voices from many marginalized groups, whose views and comfort determine which ideas are considered legitimate? We’ll also explore the nuance between banned books and cancel culture with a talented panel of experts.
About the Panel
Panama Jackson is an award-winning writer, author and Columnist for theGrio.com and
host of the Dear Culture podcast on theGrio’s Black Podcast Network. He is also the
