Join us for a premiere DC screening of the 20-minute documentary, "Miss Alma Thomas: A Life in Color", followed by a discussion with the film's director, cinematographer, and producer. Learn how the film was created in the midst of lockdowns and physical distances.

Moderator:
Sara Barger is an award-winning filmmaker based in Washington, DC who specializes in short form documentaries. She is the current President of Women in Film and Video (DC). Sara holds an MA in Journalism from American University and an MFA in film from the Vermont College of Fine Arts.

Film Director:
Cheri Gaulke is a pioneer in the feminist art movement in Los Angeles. Her work has been presented in film festivals internationally, in galleries and museums.

Cinematographer:
In over 3 decades of film production, Tim Wilson has had creative vision in his field of cinematography, VFX and innovative filming technologies. He has created award winning documentaries, feature films and commercials.

Producer:
Jon Gann has been a force in the film festival world, having created, consulted with and fostered dozens of events around the globe. He has pivoted back into film and video production as a result of the pandemic.
