Slavery, Heroism, Betrayal and a Fight for Freedom
In 1839, the slave ship Amistad set sail from Cuba to America. During the long trip, an emancipated slave, Cinque, led the slaves in an unprecedented uprising. But their betrayal to Connecticut and held as prisoners and their release became the subject of human rights and freeman debate.
