Join the Cleveland Park Historical Society for an immersive presentation on researching your house history.
It’s certainly interesting to know exactly when your home was built and by whom. But what if you could learn who developed the land, who was the architect, who were its previous inhabitants—and what their lives were like?
Join the Cleveland Park Historical Society for an immersive presentation on researching your house history at the Cleveland Park Library, led by Jim Buchanan. Jim is a semi-retired instructional designer who lives in D.C., where he was born and raised. He is a long-time guide at Antietam Battlefield and is Chair of the History Committee at the Broadmoor Cooperative Apartments. Jim has conducted many investigations of house and apartment histories in our neighborhood and will share his sleuthing techniques—and invite you to share yours as well.
If you would like to request an accommodation, please contact dcplaccess@dc.gov at least one week prior to the event.
