Celebrate Black History Month with our film series featuring powerful adaptations of acclaimed Black literature.
Every Tuesday in February, join us from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM for a screening that highlights important narratives of resilience, justice, and triumph. From literary adaptations to true stories, these films honor the voices and experiences that have shaped our understanding of Black history in America. Free popcorn and refreshments provided. All are welcome!

Tuesday, February 3: Nickel Boys
Based on Colson Whitehead’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, this powerful film tells the story of two Black teenagers at a brutal reform school in Jim Crow-era Florida.
Tuesday, February 10: If Beale Street Could Talk
Adapted from James Baldwin’s beautiful novel, this film follows a young Black couple navigating love and injustice in 1970s Harlem as they fight to prove his innocence.
Tuesday, February 17: Just Mercy
Based on Bryan Stevenson’s memoir, this inspiring true story follows a young lawyer fighting to free a wrongly condemned man from death row in Alabama.
Tuesday, February 24: Green Book
Inspired by true events, this film chronicles the unlikely friendship between a Black classical pianist and his white driver as they tour the segregated South in the 1960s.
