About the collaborators:
Transformer is an artist-centered visual arts non-profit based in Washington, DC. Its mission is to connect, elevate, and serve a diversity of emerging visual artists & arts leaders through innovative platforms and partnerships within local, national and international contexts.
Maps Glover is a multidisciplinary artist whose performances explore memory, ritual, and play as ways of reimagining Black experience. His work often uses endurance and gesture as tools for uncovering resilience, while transforming simple actions into
acts of choreography and meditation. Through installations, speculative storytelling, and interactive performance, Glover positions the body as an archive and a vessel of complexity, inviting audiences to witness both vulnerability and power in motion.
SIFU SUN is an interdisciplinary artist whose work is an intricate weave of sound, movement, and storytelling. As a vessel of ancestral creative force, SIFU channels histories, rituals, and re-imaginings into living art forms that transcend boundaries.
SIFU was. SIFU is. SIFU always will be
