Want to be a skilled babysitter, ready for anything? Join HeartsCPR, an American Red Cross partner, for a free five-hour babysitter training for ages 12-19. Slots are limited & lunch is included!
Aspiring and current babysitters ages 12 to 19 are invited to register for this training conducted by HeartsCPR. Learn the skills you need to become a responsible and caring babysitter! Training will take place in the Large Meeting Room at the Mt. Pleasant Neighborhood Library starting at 12pm and running to approximately 5pm with a break. Lunch will be provided to attendees.
Topics covered include:
Safety while babysitting
Caring for choking
CPR and rescue breathing
Appropriate ways to handle behavior challenges
How to pick up and hold infants and toddlers
Bottle and spoon feeding
Diapering
Calling for help
Getting your babysitting business started
