Learn about the process of creating a comic strip and make your own comic.
Participants will select a story, visualize it as a comic, sketch and polish their project, and leave with a finished and refined comic strip! If you want to explore your creative side, spend time with people interested in art, or just try something new, just join our workshop!
This program is for ages 13 and older. All supplies will be provided.

Gabriela Mendez is a Colombian visual artist with a deep passion for 2D animation, comics, and illustration. Along the way of her artistic journey, she has played many different roles, from storyboard artist to traditional animator, graphic designer, and art director.
She channels her personal beliefs, emotions, and experiences into comics and illustrations, focusing mainly on mental health and social justice. For Gabriela, the essence of art lies in effectively delivering messages and evoking emotions, using it as a path to self-discovery.
