Come participate in a fun (and spooky) seasonal craft!
Happy October! We hope you'll join us for a "bring your own painting" program that will make a good addition to your seasonal plans!
We'll provide paints and a space to work as you add a ghost (or something else spooky) to your preferred vintage painting scene. Some inspiration for your painting (and a glimpse into how other people's projects have gone) can be found here.
The library is able to provide or print an 8.5x11 image if you have something in mind that you would like to paint on. Supplies and space are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations are suggested but not required.
Wondering where to find a painting to work with? Some good thrift store ideas are: Miss Pixies on 14th St. NW, Analog (part of the Brookland Arts Walk on Monroe St. NE), or the Look Again Resale Shop in Alexandria. Of course you can always do your own searching using this article or something similar as a starting point: https://washington.org/visit-dc/vintage-shops-thrift-stores-in-dc
