Chichi Lovett, African American artist and retired tenured professor, will present a talk on the portraits of James Baldwin.
As part of the James Baldwin centennial celebration at the Georgetown Neighborhood library, Chichi Lovett, African American artist, educator, and retired tenured professor, will present a talk on the portraits of James Baldwin.
The presentation will focus on Portraits of James Baldwin by Beaufort Delaney. James Baldwin has been the subject and sitter for a number of visual artists. Among them, Beaufort Delaney served as his mentor and a "spiritual father" for many years.
