Join us in learning about the beauty and technique behind this traditional art with the Embassy of Japan.
Try Japanese calligraphy with the library! JICC staff will be presenting an introductory lesson on the Japanese art of calligraphy using both video and and hands on training. Learn the beauty and technique of this traditional Japanese art, as well as how to write your own name in Japanese to take home with you!
The Japan Information & Culture Center (JICC) Japan Information & Culture Center (JICC), part of the Embassy of Japan in Washington D.C., offers a variety of free programing including film screenings, lectures, educational programs, and cultural exhibits. Located on 1150 18th Street NW, the JICC is open on weekdays 9AM to 5PM.
Registration is encouraged but not required.
