Join Georgetown Neighborhood Library and Capital Nature to explore how we connect to nature through the written word.
Capital Nature co-founder Stella Tarnay will draw on poetry and prose that reflect on nature experience, and we’ll meet naturalists who explore Washington DC’s nature through descriptive writing. Kathleen Konno will introduce the practice of nature journaling, which will be a topic of future library programs.
Bring your literary curiosity and, if you feel inspired, a poem or prose excerpt to share!
Georgetown’s library staff will have interesting program-related books on display before and after the workshop, and a suggested reading list of nature-themed books to enjoy.
