Join in the retelling of “Honoring Heroes” in celebration of Discover Summer
Participants will read and act out the characters of Ana, Andrew, Mama, and Papa in retelling the story of Honoring Heroes by Christine Platt. The story is about siblings who think they have seen every fun place in their hometown of Washington, D.C. and they are surprised when Papa takes the family to a spot they haven't visited before and learn about an ancestor who fought for freedom and the children think of way to honor him.
This event celebrates Discover Summer and Beyond the Book and is intended for children 5-8 and their adults.
A craft project will follow the story.
