Musical Event
Join us on May 14th for the first of our Garden Concert Series featuring Cherry Blossom Special.
"Seemingly composed of bluegrass instrumentation (mandolin, banjo, guitar), the stringband is flavored with elements of lush chamber music, incorporating fiddle and cello. Cherry Blossom Special’s dynamic collaboration presents both distinctive musical prowess and diverse repertoire.
The ensemble’s maximalist yet intimate performances invite their listeners to a warm-hearted, multisensory experience of their music. While genre-fluid, the group does not shy away from acknowledging their bluegrass and old-time fusion influences, lightheartedly dubbing their indescribable sound as “whatevergrass”."
Concerts take place in the library's outdoor garden/patio area.
Refreshments will be served.
PLEASE NOTE: In the event of rain, concert will be held in Meeting Room 1 in the lower level of the library.
Alcoholic beverages are prohibited.
This concert series is made possible by the generosity of the Friends of the Northeast Library.
