DC resident-owned businesses and entrepreneurs in or interested in entering DC's medical cannabis market and ancillary markets are invited!
The Department of Small & Local Business Development (DSLBD)'s Innovation & Equitable Development team (Inno.ED) is excited to partner with DC Public Libraries to offer the Just Cannabusiness Knowledge Cafe series for DC residents and entrepreneurs interesting in learning, sharing knowledge, and networking as they build or explore the regulated, medical cannabis market place.
As DC's medical cannabis market grows with the addition of new licenses available through the Alcohol Beverage and Cannabis Administration (formerly ABRA), DSLBD is working to provide access to capital solutions to local, resident-owned, and disadvantaged businesses and entrepreneurs in or entering the marketplace.
Knowledge Cafes will be offered varied topics of Cannabis and an associated idea, starting with Cannabis and Justice May 17th. DC Public Library resources on the topic and on entrepreneurship will be gathered, and further resources from the community will be crowdsourced to share back out.
Please take the Just Cannabusiness Capital Needs Survey if you are a business owner or entrepreneur seeking funding to enter, stabilize, or grow in DC's regulated cannabis market. And feel free to sign up for the Just Cannabusiness Email List to hear about upcoming funding and programming opportunities.
All are welcome.
