Sing along with and learn the lyrics to your favorite Disney songs! Frozen, Moana, Coco, Encanto, and more!
Love Disney? Love performing? Want to sing with us to all the best songs? Want to come watch your librarians sing the classics? Disney Karaoke is in the house!!! During karaoke, kids will be able to read the lyrics along with the songs they're listening to and singing along with, which is a form of choral reading. Choral reading helps build new and struggling readers' fluency, self-confidence, and motivation to become strong readers. When kids are reading aloud together, those who may ordinarily feel self-conscious or nervous about reading aloud have the built-in support of their peers. Plus, it's really fun! Even little pre-readers who love Disney movies will be able to practice some of their early literacy skills as they identify that letters go with sounds and to practice rhyme and flow.
