Expand access and visibility of DC newspapers with The People’s Archive! Help add digitized newspaper issues to the DC Public Library’s historic digital collection, Dig DC.

How it works

Attend one virtual event to learn how to create descriptions, called metadata, for issues of the Washington City Paper.
During the month of April create descriptions for 3 newspaper issues on your own time.

What to know

No prior knowledge of metadata or the Washington City Paper is required to participate. All skill levels are welcome. This event will be completely virtual and registration is required. After you register, you will be sent the virtual meeting link closer to the event date.
