Author and illustrator Venessa Kelley will give a presentation about their experiences, their upcoming projects, and their works for publishers large and small, including the collector's edition of Red, White, & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston, and how they got chosen to illustrate for this new edition of the popular novel. Copies of their published artworks, including art for Red, White, & Royal Blue collector’s edition, will be available for purchase.
Venessa Kelley is a Washington, DC-based writer, illustrator, and sequential artist. Her work focuses on magical realism, fantasy, and romance in a culturally diverse world, and has been featured on Buzzfeed, Discovery Girls Magazine, Bella Grace Magazine, as well as in various books, board games, and marketing campaigns. She holds BA and MA degrees in English Literature & Film from the University of Delaware and George Washington University. Her debut graphic novel Manu Faces the Music will be released in 2025.
