Teens are invited to gather and work on their own zines.
Zines have existed since the 1930s (or earlier!), many came out of the Riot Grrrl movement, ranging in topics from feminism, to music, to body image. A zine can be anything you want it to be. Zine-making helps connect us together and create a community.
Though our zine station is always open, this is a chance to work together and make friends! Join us in the Alma Thomas Teen Space to use our zine-making supplies and station. You can even add your work to our in-house zine collection!
"Creating zines is a radical act. People create zines to provide an outlet for their inner voice in a raw way." - Zahra Swanzy
