This writer's workshop is made up of people from a variety of backgrounds and writing levels: beginners, veteran wordsmiths, and emeriti. We write creative nonfiction, fiction, poetry, and scripts.
Unlike pay-for-play or academic workshops, participants of community workshops have the opportunity to get to know each other and forge sustained relationships with fellow members. This helps ensure that participants focus on feedback that is valuable to the piece and to the writer. Come join our community group and we can help each other brainstorm and put our pens to paper.
DC Writes! writers workshop meets every other Wednesday.
While we are looking at in-person meetups, we are currently meeting over Zoom.
