The new Lamond-Riggs/Lillian J. Huff Library is excited to welcome families to enjoy a day of fun on Saturday, July 23, from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. at Library Community Day!
About Uncle Devin's Percussion Introduction Show
The Uncle Devin Show is an interactive musical experience for children by renowned drummer, Devin Walker. The show cultivated the minds of children through percussion instruments and is a dynamic cross between DC's Trouble Funk and Schoolhouse Rock. He is a member of the 1 Tribe Collective whose album "All One Tribe" was Grammy Nominated for Best Children's Music Album. It features, Uncle Devin's song, "A Go-Go Fun Day." Uncle Devin is also a Teaching Artist with both the Wolf Trap Institute for Early Learning and Teaching for Change and owner of the children's online music platform, WEE Nation Radio. The entire family will experience the rhythm of Uncle Devin's infectious blend of Jazz, Funk and DC's official music, Go-Go. Books and CDs will be available for purchase after the performance.
