Local artist talks about his career from DC to Hollywood!
Russell Williams, a SE DC native, won two Academy Awards for his work in cinematic sound for the movies Glory and Dances With Wolves. Williams is the first African American to win multiple Academy Awards in any category and the first and only African American to win consecutive awards in any category.
He'll describe his journey from Benning Heights to Hollywood in an interview with Joy Jones on Wednesday, May 11th at 2:00pm on DC Public Library's Facebook Live page.
