Got a young one learning how to hold a brush? Want to introduce your child to the joy of painting? Come by SPK's Messy Art Program, and let's have some painting fun!
We’ll be painting on textured panels covered in layered recycled materials to create a giant art piece as a group - the emphasis is on the fun of mark making, movement and choices for color and pattern, rather than on a finished product. There also will be a freegal playlist curated to play while we create: no words, just swoops of sound - much like the colors we'll be applying!
We recommend wearing clothing you don't mind some paint stains on (we'll be sticking to washable materials, but better safe then sorry) and be ready for floor time - so that the young ones can reach all parts of the panels we'll be working directly on the floor of the room (with a drop cloth to protect the carpet).
