Kids ages 5-14 are invited to join us to make lanterns and try mooncakes in honor of the Mid-Autumn Festival! The Mid-Autumn Festival is China's second largest holiday. It occurs on Monday, October 6th this year- we are celebrating a little early! The Mid-Autumn Festival is a harvest celebration which honors the harvest moon. Lanterns and mooncakes are the symbols of the holiday. Lanterns light the way to good fortune and mooncakes are made in honor of the moon goddess, Chang'e. Please be aware, our mooncakes will include black sesame and gluten.
