Get help with your resumes, cover letters, applications, essays, and more!
Attention teens! Are you looking for a job that will accommodate your school schedule? Maybe you're trying to improve your SAT scores before you apply to your college of choice? Or perhaps you would like someone to look over your essay or research paper before you turn it in?
The Teen Services staff at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Library can help!
Come to the library's Alma Thomas Teen Space on Monday afternoon, and learn how to improve your resume, write a professional-looking cover letter, and other tips that will help you get noticed by job recruiters. Our library staff can also help edit or proofread your written assignments, review your scholarship application essays, and provide other guidance that will help you improve your writing and test-taking skills.
The Teen Job Seekers and Writing Workshop will have walk-in hours this fall on Mondays from 4:00pm - 5:30pm in the Alma Thomas Teen Space, starting on Monday, September 8. At this time, we are taking walk-in appointments only on a first come, first served basis.
