Explore the High Arctic (78-degrees North to 90-degrees North) from the comfort of your home library!
Explorers have died--and many lied--in their pursuit of the North Pole. It wasn't until 1977--eight years after humans landed on the moon--that a surface ship successfully sailed to the North Pole. To this day, only about 500 people reach the North Pole annually. Hear the stories and see the awe-some pictures of the top of the world!
