Celebrate the library's 100th birthday by exploring neighborhood history.
Join Mt. Pleasant Library staff and Friends for a local history walking tour on Saturday, September 13, 2025! Attucks Adams will lead back to back sessions of their "Music & Social Change: Mount Pleasant + Adams Morgan" walking tour as a part of Mt. Pleasant Library's 100 year birthday celebrations.
The Music & Social Change: Mount Pleasant + Adams Morgan walking tour will explore the deep histories of Mount Pleasant and Adams Morgan. Participants will delve into the area's rich musical heritage, from the "hillbilly music" of the mid-20th century to the influential punk and Riot Grrrl scenes of the 1990s.
Two first tour leaves the library at 10am and then repeats again at 11:30am. Please register in advance as space is limited!
