Francis Fukuyama & Damir Marusic will talk about contemporary issues and interact with the audience in a salon style conversation.
An Afternoon with Francis Fukuyama will feature a salon style conversation with world renowned political economist Dr. Francis Fukuyama, who is widely recognized for his influential work on political order, democratic governance, and global affairs. He is the author of numerous acclaimed books, including The End of History and the Last Man, and Liberalism and Its Discontents.
Moderator Damir Marusic is a thoughtful commentator on geopolitics and international relations and brings deep insight and clarity to complex conversations. Together, they promise a timely and engaging discussion on the forces shaping democracy in our world today.
FRANCIS FUKUYAMA, PhD, is the Olivier Nomellini Senior Fellow at Stanford University's Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies. He has written widely on issues in development and international politics. His 1992 book, The End of History and the Last Man, has appeared in over twenty foreign editions.
DAMIR MARUSIC is an assignment editor at The Washington Post. He is co-founder of the Wisdom of Crowds podcast. He was executive editor at The American Interest magazine.
