Come to the Bellevue Neighborhood Library's hands-on exploration of community accessibility features. Learn, design, build and celebrate Disability Pride Month!
The Bellevue Neighborhood Library's STEAM Club participants will build a paper ramp and learn about different ways that communities can be accessible and welcoming for everyone. Using tools from We Move Together, a remarkable children's book for people of all ages, participants can design and build their own accessible communities. To continue their learning when the workshop ends, participants will get a Community Accessibility Checklist to help them notice accessibility features in their schools, streets and surroundings.
