A Family-Friendly movie each week of summer!
Join the FUN! Escape the HEAT!
Family Movie Mondays, Games & Puzzle Wednesdays, and Crafternoon Fridays are a part of Woodridge's Summer Fun programming held Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 2 PM. These programs are geared to children ages 6 - 12 and their accompany adult.
Family Movie Mondays Schedule
June 30: Tales of the Night (2011). Silhouetted characters set off against exquisitely detailed backgrounds bursting with color and kaleidoscopic patterns, as the film weaves together six exotic fables each unfolding in a unique locale, from Tibet, to medieval Europe, an Aztec kingdom, the African plains, and even the Land of the Dead.
Starring: Julien Beramis, Marine Griset, Michael Elias.
July 7: Jumanji (1995). When two kids find and play a magical board game, they release a man trapped in it for decades - and a host of dangers that can only be stopped by finishing the game.
Starring: Robin Williams, Kirsten Dunst, Bonnie Hunt.
July 14: Bilal: A New Breed of Hero (2015). The true story of a boy with a dream of becoming a warrior and his sister are abducted - taken to a land far from home. Thrown into a world where greed and injustice rule all, he finds the courage to raise his voice and make a change.
Starring: Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Ian McShane, China Anne McClain
July 21: Dora & the Lost City of Gold (2019). Teenage explorer Dora leads her friends on an adventure to save her parents and solve the mystery behind a lost city of gold.
Starring: Isabela Merced, Eugenio Derbez, Michael Pena.
July 28: Ne Zha (2020). A young boy, with the power to destroy the world, must choose between good and evil in order to break the shackles of fate and become the hero.
Starring: Yanting Lu, Joseph, Mo Han.
August 4: If (2024). A young girl who goes through a difficult experience begins to see everyone's imaginary friends who have been left behind as their real-life friends have grown up.
Starring: Cailey Fleming, Ryan Reynolds, John Krasinski.
August 11: Next Door Spy (2017). Ten-year old Agathe-Christine, or simply AC, fancy mysteries and from the basement in the building, where she has just moved in, she has established a small detective bureau.
Starring: Dar Salim, Albert Rudbeck Lindhardt, Tommy Kenter.
August 18: Hook (1991). When Captain James Hook kidnaps his children, an adult Peter Pan must return to Neverland and reclaim his youthful spirit in order to challenge his old enemy.
Starring: Dustin Hoffman, Robin Williams, Julia Roberts
