Come celebrate the richness of Afro-Cuban heritage at Mt. Pleasant Library with a Makuta Movement workshop.
Join us on Friday, July 11 at 1 PM for a FREE Afro-Cuban dance class specially designed for kids ages 5–12.
Kids will dance to the infectious rhythm of Makuta, an Afro-Cuban rhythm with roots in the Congo (Bantú) tradition. The class will be brought to life by live percussion and a singer, who will guide the kids through exciting call-and-response songs!
Don’t miss this fun, high-energy cultural experience—perfect for young movers and music lovers!
