Local author and activist Mike Tidwell speaks about his new book.
In 2023, local author and activist Mike Tidwell began to document climate change and its effects on the great trees on his block in Takoma Park, Maryland. His new book The Lost Trees of Willow Avenue explores these changes and the residents involved. He also explores the questions of "geoengineering" as a last ditch effort to save the trees. A uniquely written book with a hyper local perspective!
Copies of the book will be ordered for the library system.
For more information or questions, please send an e-mail to takomaparklibrary@dc.gov or call 202-576-7252.
