View Lorraine Hansberry's classic "A Raisin in the Sun"
Some of the best, most notable movies are based on novels. This series, From the Book to the Big Screen, will highlight movies that were first conceived as books. Our second movie in the series is the 2008 adaptation of Lorraine Hansberry's A Raisin in the Sun, a play that was first brought to life on Broadway. Last month, we viewed the 1961 version starring Sidney Poitier. Compare the two, and be on the lookout for other classics and new favorites, including Gone with the Wind, The Manchurian Candidate, Les Miserables and many more!
