Join DC’s Different Drummers Jazz Band in celebrating World Pride 2025 at your neighborhood DC Public Library!
They’ve prepared a selection of queer standards –from timeless classics to today’s latest hits– for this free concert series.
You can catch DCDD’s Jazz Big Band in their main performance at 7pm on May 28th at Lamond Riggs Library. There will be additional performances by DCDD’s small jazz combo group “2nd Independence” at 6pm on June 3rd at Bellevue Library, and at 7pm on June 5th at Shepherd Park Library.
DCDD is proudly supported by the DC Mayor’s Office of LGBTQ Affairs and excited to be continuing their partnership with DC’s Public Libraries!
D.C.’s Different Drummers is a non-profit LGBTQ+ music organization welcoming all musicians as it fosters pride, inclusivity, and engagement with the greater Washington, D.C. region through music. The DCDD Jazz Band includes a big band and a small combo group, playing music in a variety of jazz styles.
