Unleash your creativity and dive into a new adventure each week with activities inspired by STEM, arts and crafts, gaming, and more. Maker Lab takes place every Monday. Recommended for children ages 5-12 and families.
Monday April 14: Robot Haiku - Create your own haiku and bring it to life with robots! Write a 5-7-5 syllable poem, then program an Ozobot to follow your poem’s rhythm. Watch as your robot moves and reacts to your words in a fun and interactive way. When finished, enter your haiku in the DC Public Library's annual Haiku Contest and earn eternal bragging rights when you win!

Monday April 21: Earth Day Engineering - Empower a more sustainable future! Engineer a design made from cardboard utilizing Makedo tools.
Monday April 28: Bee Bot Poetry - Use Bee Bot robots to spell out your own acrostic poetry in a whole new way. Program your robot, watch it move, and see your poem come to life one letter at a time. It’s a hands-on way to play with words and coding all at once!
