A preview of the 2025 baseball season will be presented by the Friends of the Juanita E. Thornton-Shepherd Park Library via Zoom
Leading the discussion will be David Raglin and Mark Pattison. Raglin, a retired statistician for the U.S. Census Bureau, is the former president of the D.C. Regional chapter of the Society for American Baseball Research. Pattison, a retired journalist who is president of the Shepherd Park Friends, is also secretary-treasurer of the Mayo Smith Society, a D.C.-founded nationwide Detroit Tigers fan club.
Raglin and Pattison spent time in Florida during spring training to watch teams get into shape. Together, they have co-written or co-edited four books on the national pastime.
