In honor of Disability Pride Month and in partnership with the Center for Accessibility, join us for an accessibility centered session of our Create with Me: Process Art series
Accessible Process Art is open to all families, with special emphasis placed on children aged 0-8 who may benefit from sensory friendly programing. All art materials are adaptive and accessible to blind and visually impaired children and caregivers. Space is limited to 10 people each session, please register in advance.
The session will introduce a few materials and invite young artists to explore and create. Children will lead in exploring the materials and making their own unique creations. Adults will learn about process art, see ways they can create art experiences at home, and practice following their children’s creative lead.
To request additional accommodations please contact DC Public Library Center for Accessibility at DCPLaccess@dc.gov.
