Make, trade, and celebrate zines with DC Zinefest
We're talking zines—self-published, non-commercial, small-run publications—with DC Zinefest!
Bring your own pre-made zines or craft one with us; learn how to make zines with graphic design software Canva or by hand. Then guests can swap titles with each other, read aloud from their favorites, or add them to the library's Zine Zone.
Throughout the event collection highlights from The People's Archive will be on display. Browse digitized items from the DC Punk Archive Zine Library, established in 2014 to document the vibrant and influential punk music scene of Washington D.C. from 1976 to the present.
This program is for all-ages. Participants are invited to bring their own materials and devices; art supplies and laptops will also be provided.
