The Japan Information & Culture Center (JICC) presents the history of Shodo (Japanese Calligraphy) and the art form of Suminagashi (Japanese Water Marbling) followed by an art-making session.
The Japan Information & Culture Center (JICC) from the Embassy of Japan will present the history of Shodo (Japanese Calligraphy) and the art form of Suminagashi (Japanese Water Marbling). Following the presentation, participants will create their own Suminagashi prints using water, ink, and calligraphy paper. Participants will be able to take their original floating ink paintings home after the program.
