Come read with us!
For Black History Month we'll be reading "Homegoing" by Yaa Gyasi. Spanning 18th-century Ghana to modern-day Harlem, the award-winning novel traces the entangled lives of two half sisters Effia and Esi and their descendants, who are shaped by slavery, chance, and loss.
All genres and readers are welcome. Reading the club selection is not a requirement to attend (just be forewarned that there will be spoilers). Titles will be decided by group members and a limited number of copies will be set aside at the Mt. Pleasant Library. Fill out this form to be added to the book club mailing list.
